About us
We are a registered non-profit organisation and are driven towards empowering the lives of children/people living with Type 1 Diabetes and their families. We believe people living with Type-1 Diabetes can attain their maximum potential and live a fulfilling life when they have complete awareness on how to manage their condition on a daily basis. We operate as a voluntary support group with people from varied backgrounds from medical practitioners and scientists to IT professionals, entrepreneurs and artists. We undertake Type 1 advocacy through one to one counselling on self-management and regular online and in-person workshops.
Our Impact
Having begun in 2018, we have expanded from 4 people to 400+ people capable of self-managing their condition. We have identified leaders to spearhead voluntary work in Chennai, Coimbatore, Thirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Trichy, Salem, Madurai and Pondicherry. The organisation is capacitated with Certified Diabetes Educators who are either living with T1D or are caregivers of T1D and is supported by doctors on a regular basis.
